Winners will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to the Congress of Cities in Denver, CO on Nov. 30-Dec. 4. Information on the competition has already been sent directly to Michigan Association of School Administrators for distribution to the high schools.

White Paper on Medical Marijuana Now Available
A new white paper was recently released that advises communities on the controversial Michigan Medical Marihuana Act. The report, produced by consultant Gerald A. Fisher, a professor of law at the Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Auburn Hills, was prepared at the request of the Michigan Municipal League and Michigan Townships Association and is intended to assist local governments. The Michigan Municipal League has already hosted or co-sponsored numerous training sessions on the law and will continue to work with communities to assist them in interpreting and administering the act. The white paper can be downloaded here.
