"Defend Michigan Democracy" Press Conference Aug. 22 in Lansing
The Michigan Municipal League is participating in a press conference Wednesday, Aug. 22, in opposition to the “Supermajority Ballot Proposal” and we’re hoping to have as many League members and supporters attend as possible. The event by the Defend Michigan Democracy Coalition is 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Lansing Fire Station #1, 120 E. Shiawassee Street at the corner of Grand and Shiawassee. MORE>

Blight Bills Pass Senate - Last week, the Michigan Senate passed the package of blight bills (SB 1096-1100) that would give communities additional tools to address blight. The bills now go to the House for consideration. An amendment was added on the Senate floor to SB 1096 that we are still assessing. MORE>
