pic55League Invited to Complete Streets Bill Signing with Governor – Governor Granholm held a ceremonial bill signing ceremony for the Complete Streets legislation last week. In recognition of the League's efforts in helping to shape the bills over the last year and advocating for passage, League Board President Jeff Jenks and League staff, were invited to the ceremony and thanked by the governor and the legislative sponsors for our involvement. pic66Michigan Applies for High-Speed Rail Funds – The Michigan Department of Transportation joined 25 other states on August 6th in applying for a portion of the nearly $2.5 billion being made available by the Federal Railroad Administration for the second round of High-Speed Intercity Passenger Rail funds that were announced in June.
