312 and Urban Cooperation Act Hearing Tomorrow Morning at
8:30 am!
The
League would like you to come to Lansing Wednesday (tomorrow)
morning to testify in an important hearing about Public Act
312 reform and the Urban Cooperation Act. This is extremely
important and we really need a strong presence from our members.
The hearing is 8:30 a.m. in the Senate Hearing room in Boji
Tower. For all the details click
here. For over 40 years the League has been pushing for
changes to PA 312. We appreciate that it is on the reform
agenda; however, without substantive changes local units of
government will continue to be unable to control costs resulting
in public safety layoffs and fewer services in their communities.
Reforming PA 312 is critical to the fiscal stability of our
communities!! Go here on our web site for all the details.
